Holidays at Bok Tower Gardens is an annual celebration and features over a month of special activities and events for all ages. In 2022, these special events will take place between November 25 – January 8. Bok Tower Gardens is open on Thanksgiving Day as well as Christmas Day.
Holidays at Bok Tower Gardens
This year’s theme is Let Heaven & Nature Sing, a holiday celebration that features beautiful displays of poinsettias, begonias, evergreens, and more. Learn about Edward Bok’s legacy of peace at an outdoor exhibit located around the Oval Lawn.
Thanksgiving Day in the Gardens
Thursday, November 24| Concerts at 1PM & 3PM | Last car admitted at 5PM | Free for members, included in general admission.
Opening at 10:00 AM, spend a day of celebrating the year’s blessings at the Gardens, highlighted by two carillon concerts of Thanksgiving.
Go GNOME for the Holidays in the Gardens of El Retiro
November 25 – January 8
This holiday season, Tucker and Tillie invited their friend Freddie Gnomested for a delightful outdoor hide & seek in the gardens and terraces of El Retiro. Stop by the Visitor Center at Bok Tower Gardens and pick up the complimentary hide & seek booklet and stickers. After the fun, visit to The Shop at Bok for a gnome surprise.
Ring in the Holidays with the Orlando Philharmonic Brass

Seasonal selections and Holiday favorites performed by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Brass. Celebrate the season with brass arrangements of Holiday Fanfare, O Magnum Mysterium, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and more!
Holiday Centerpiece Workshop
Saturday, December 17 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | $55 members, $65 non-members
Enjoy assembling a beautiful, fresh centerpiece with Bloom Box Floral’s Laurel Lopes. Create a unique design with festive evergreens, and natural bird-themed trimmings. This long-lasting style will stay lovely through Christmas. All materials, tools and instructions will be included in the registration cost.
Natural Holiday Ornaments
Tuesday, December 20 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Free for members, included in general admission
Drop by Hammock Hollow with your children to make an all-natural, decorative ornament to take home.
Christmas Day in the Gardens
Sunday, December 25 | Gardens Open at 12 PM & the last car is admitted at 5:00 PM | Free for members, included in general admission.
Celebrate Christmas Day against the festive backdrop of red and green holiday foliage. Enjoy holiday music favorites with carillon concerts at 1 PM and 3 PM.
New Year’s Day in the Gardens
Saturday, January 1 | Concerts at 1 PM & 3 PM | Free for members, included in general admission.
Start your New Year’s Resolutions with fresh air and a hike. Enjoy two carillon concerts featuring holiday favorites at 1 PM and 3 PM.
